(By the way, did you ever notice, there is no "degree" (that little circle thingy) button on a computer? I digress...)
So, last night, I went to use the restroom (sorry, TMI) and of COURSE, after I'm finished, I notice that there is no toilet paper left on the roll. No big deal, I thought. I'll just grab a new roll from under the.... WAIT!!! There are no more rolls. Harumpf. JASON!!!! I NEED TP!!!!
He comes into the restroom to inform me that we are out. Completely. And in his hand, is a roll of paper towels. Gee thanks, honey.
So, we got to make a trip out - to Tom Thumb, at 12:15 am. Yippee. Good thing, though because due to the excessive napping a 103 degree (see, I could have used that little thingy) fever will cause, the munchkin was still awake. She managed to fall asleep on the way home, and stayed asleep all night. Phew.
Today is Jason's day to serve at church - at the coffee bar, of course (and if you didn't know, Jason works for that oh-so-beloved coffee establishment), and so he went alone because we were still in the 24-hour-after-a-fever quarantine period.
When he got back, we ventured out into the world... we walked to Market Street to get a breakfast burrito. If you have a Market Street (owned by United grocers) anywhere near you, you MUST get a breakfast burrito. Before 10:30 am, every day. About $2. Really yummy.
After that, we had to head over to Central Market (another really cool grocery store) to grab a few earth-friendly items that only Central Market has in stock. While there, we discovered two things:
You can now purchase "tea tree oil vaginal suppositories".... well, I get that tea tree oil is supposedly anti-fungal, but come on now. Wouldn't that burn? Or itch? I have heard of all kinds of alternative methods for treating yeast infections... even using a syringe and plain yogurt... so I suppose this is a little more... sanitary? This is where I could use a set of smiley faces... the one I'd use here would have a slight shudder, maybe a green-tinged face, and possibly a shrug.
The second thing we discovered is that the oh-so-beloved coffee establishment nearby had finally closed.
Back Story: Jason works for said coffee establishment, and we knew that several stores (up to 600 nationwide) were closing. Jason's store closed in August. It's been really fun.. let me tell ya. Now, we're facing budget cuts that have cut Jason's hours back from about 35 per week to 20. Yay.
The part that was funny was this, extracted from a hand-drawn sign advertising Central Market's "new" coffee bar hours...
